Cnect Meta Integration
Data Access and Usage
Overview
Cnect is an employer recruiting and job advertising platform that helps employers promote their job openings through social media.
Cnect provides an optional integration with Meta that allows an employer to connect their Facebook and Instagram accounts and publish job-opening posts directly to the social media accounts they select.
The Meta integration is used solely to perform actions requested by the employer, such as publishing a job-opening post to a selected Facebook Page and its associated Instagram account.
How the Meta Integration Works
1. Employer Connects a Meta Account
An employer can choose to connect their Meta account to Cnect through the Meta authorization process.
The employer grants Cnect the permissions required to identify the Facebook Pages and associated Instagram accounts that are available for publishing.
Cnect does not request access to an employer's personal Facebook profile content, private messages, or unrelated Meta account information.
2. Cnect Displays Available Publishing Destinations
After authorization, Cnect retrieves the Facebook Pages that the employer has authorized Cnect to access.
For each eligible Facebook Page, Cnect also identifies the Instagram account associated with that Page when an eligible Instagram account is available.
This information is displayed within Cnect so the employer can select where the job-opening content should be published.
Cnect does not use this information for analytics, advertising, audience profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the employer's requested publishing activity.
3. Employer Creates the Job Post
The employer creates the job-opening post within Cnect.
The employer can provide the content of the post and, when applicable, select an image to accompany the post.
The employer then selects the Facebook Page and/or associated Instagram account where the content should be published.
4. Cnect Publishes the Post
When the employer selects Publish, Cnect uses the authorized Meta integration to publish the employer's content to the selected Facebook Page and Instagram account.
Cnect only publishes content as a result of an explicit action or scheduling request made by the employer.
Cnect does not independently create, modify, or publish content without the employer's instruction.
5. Confirmation and Scheduled Posts
After a post has been published, Cnect provides the employer with a link to the published post when available.
For posts scheduled for future publication, Cnect checks the publishing status after the scheduled time to confirm that the requested post was successfully published.
This status check is performed solely to provide the employer with confirmation that the requested publishing action was completed.
Meta Data Used by Cnect
Cnect only accesses and uses the Meta information necessary to provide the publishing functionality described above.
This may include:
- Facebook Page identification information needed to display available Pages and publish content to the selected Page.
- Information identifying an Instagram account associated with an authorized Facebook Page.
- Information required to publish the employer's requested content.
- Information needed to confirm the status or location of a published post.
The information is used only to provide the employer with the requested social media publishing functionality.
Information Cnect Does Not Collect or Use
Cnect does not use the Meta integration to collect or display social media analytics or engagement information.
Cnect does not collect or use:
- Facebook Page follower counts
- Instagram follower counts
- Likes or reactions
- Comments
- Direct messages
- Audience demographics
- Engagement statistics
- Advertising or ad-performance data
- Social media activity unrelated to the employer's requested publishing activity
Cnect does not use Meta information to build advertising profiles, target advertisements, or perform audience analysis.
Data Sharing
Cnect does not sell Meta information or share Meta information with third parties for advertising, marketing, audience profiling, or other unrelated purposes.
Meta information accessed through the integration is used only to provide the functionality requested by the employer.
Data Retention and Account Disconnection
When an employer disconnects their Meta account from Cnect, Cnect removes the Meta account information and authorization data that it has stored for the integration, subject to any information that must be temporarily retained for legitimate security, compliance, or technical purposes.
Cnect does not retain Meta access information for continued use after the employer has disconnected the integration.
Purpose of the Integration
The sole purpose of the Cnect Meta integration is to allow employers to publish their job openings to Facebook Pages and associated Instagram accounts directly from the Cnect platform.
Cnect accesses Meta information only when it is necessary to provide this functionality and uses the information only for the purpose for which the employer authorized access.
